Vision
One of the most central challenges of our time is the need to find the balance between global socio-economic processes and their effect on local communities. In this blurry situation, governments, private sector and NGOs alike take efforts in contributing to the sustainable development of local communities by using experience and methods already tried worldwide. Understanding the importance and the need of interdisciplinary and open thought is crucial in order to offer the best solution to complex problems.               Read more

Jobs for the North East and Peace for the Middle East

8, Brierdene Crescent, Whitley Bay, Northumberland; My very first home.

Being a third generation local activist, I work hard to develop the local economy economy in the North East. I strongly believe in social responsibility in its true sense: those of us who have excelled in their deeds should contribute back to society. Moreover, I believe that an open democratic environment and a vibrant civil society provide hope to people and grant them numerous opportunities to better their lives.  It empowers them.

Hence, I actively work to promote open societies that provide equal opportunities for all, and as such I am a strong supporter of Interfaith in Britain and I am a critic of the multicultural model, which isolates communities from each other and prevents in the process the spread of understanding between different ethnic, religious and cultural communities.

Loyal to my sense of obligation towards society, I am also supporting over 70 charitable and voluntary organizations. I am supporting a male cancer research charity
"Every Man Alive" and helping organize a live aid style international concert to raise awareness and money for this cause.

As a loyal British citizen and Jewish by religion, I am actively engaged in the conflict resolution process between Israel and the Palestinians. In my activities, I subscribe to gearing British foreign policy towards promoting human rights, development and high standard of governance. In addition, I am working through Warwick University to establish a Middle East peace conference in London.

My philosophy states that change cannot be imposed top-down; that it must grow from the grassroots level. This is why I have recently funded a Chair in Middle East studies at Warwick University, in order to educate the younger generations to develop fresh ideas to one of the most complicated conflicts, yet unresolved.

Succinctly, I encapsulate my approach in the different areas I am involved in with the term, “Jobs for the North East and Peace for the Middle East.”
